Time: Saturday April 26th, 2:30 pm

Artist Karin Apollonia Müller will be signing copies of her books:
Angels in Fall, (Kruse Verlag GmbH, 2001) (ISBN: 3-934923-09-7)
"Equal measures contemplative and bleak, Angels in Fall is Karin Apollonia Muller's first monograph is a compelling study of the urban and man-made landscape of Los Angeles. Shot in a muted palette with nary a blue sky or sunshine in sight, the German born photographer's adopted city seems permanently cloaked in grey and solitude."
On Edge (Nazareli Press, 2009, First Edition) (ISBN 1590052390).
Müller's second monograph, and the first to be published by Nazraeli Press. While Angels in Fall (2001) dealt with the disconnect between human beings and their environment, On Edge shows the earth 'crumbling away', and our futile efforts to control or hide the subtle invasion of nature into cultivated spaces. Working in color with a muted palette and low contrast, Müller creates powerful images which evoke a sense of displacement in keeping with the artist s 'visitor status' as a foreigner in Los Angeles. On Edge is beautifully printed on matt art paper, bound in cloth wrapped in translucent paper. This first printing is limited to 500 copies.
First Edition of the Deluxe Boxed limited edition of Angels in Fall (Arcana Editions, 2008) (ISBN: 3-934923-09-7)
Includes a color print of Civitas or Waiting (Surf), signed by the artist. Originally published by Kruse Verlag in 2001, this gem (cited on page 284 of Martin Parr and Gerry Badger's "The Photobook: A History Volume II") was re-released in 2008 by the photographer and Arcana Editions in two versions limited to 20 numbered copies and five artist's proofs each housed in a grey linen clamshell box accompanied by a signed 10 1/2 x 12" color photograph of one of two images fromAngels in Fall in its own grey linen chemise.
