Sarah Schumann is included in 'InformELLEs: Women Artists and Art Informel in the 1950s/60s,' a group exhibition in Germany at the Hessen Kassel Heritage.
Curated by Ulrich Etscheit, Dorothee Gerkens, and Roland Knieg, the exhibition is on view from October 10, 2025 - January 26, 2025, and presents 16 artists who played a key role in shaping the 'Informel art' movement.
The exhibition aims to expand the art historical canon to include long-overlooked positions by female artists.
In conjunction with the show, a bilingual catalogue (German/English) has been published by Deutscher Kunstverlag at the Art History Institute of the University of Bonn.
