Eleanor Antin is included in "Women Breaking Boundaries" at the Cincinnati Art Museum, on view September 18, 2020 – January 10, 2021. Her photograph, "The King of Solana Beach," 1974-75 -- part of the museum's permanent collection -- is included in the exhibition curated by Ainsley M. Cameron.
The exhibition explores ideas of identity – through the lens of gender, race, and embodiment, and the manipulation of medium, historical sources, and form. Prominent artists added to the show include Eleanor Antin, Muholi, Annu Palakunnathu Matthew, Kiki Smith, Julie Mehretu, Corita Kent and Rei Kawakubo, founder of Comme des Garçons.
"Women Breaking Boundaries" will be on view in the Vance Waddell and Mayerson Galleries (Galleries 124 and 125).
