Diane Rosenstein Gallery is pleased to announce a conversation between curator Michael Slenske and Signal To Noiseartists Michael John Kelly, JPW3, Maximus Oppenheimer, and Vanessa Prager. The artist talk will be followed by an exhibition closing party!
This is our final event in a series of public programs at Diane Rosenstein Gallery throughout the run of this exhibition. The special event is free and open to the public.

Michael Slenske is a Los Angeles-based writer, editor and curator. He has curated group shows at Wilding Cran Gallery; The Landing Gallery; domicile (n.) gallery and Praz-Delavallade as well as solo shows for Aryo Toh Djojo, Charles Arnoldi, Emily Marchand, Fawn Rogers, Hely Omar Gonzalez, and Martin Nuñez. He is the founder of The Street & The Shop, an artist-driven pop-up, which has been staged at Tin Flats, the Bradbury Building, and the Paramount Backlot as part of Frieze LA.
JPW3 (USA, b. 1981) is a Los Angeles-based artist who has received solo exhibitions at Night Gallery, Los Angeles; the Sarasota Museum at Ringling College, FL; MOCA Tucson, AZ; Martos Gallery, New York; Galerie Nagel Draxler, Berlin; Michael Jon Gallery, Miami; and Kunstverein Heppenheim, DE. JPW3’s work has been acquired by the Portland Museum of Art, Portland, ME; the De La Cruz Collection and Rubell Family Collection in Miami; and the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Kansas City.
Michael John Kelly (USA, b.1975) is a Los Angeles-based painter conjures emotional realities and primal landscapes from new and traditional mediums. Kelly received his MFA in painting from the UCLA (2013) and for the past twenty-five years has received solo and group exhibitions in Los Angeles, New York, Miami, Basel, London, Duesseldorf, Berlin and Istanbul.
Maximus Oppenheimer (USA, b. 2002), alternate moniker MJVO (Making Joyous Virtue Omnipresent) is an interdisciplinary artist born and raised in the city of Los Angeles, California. His multiple series of work include painting, collage, drawing, and digital media combining poetry and abstraction to illustrate the psychological and sociopolitical conflict amongst the history and developments of his native East Hollywood. The artist also operates a nomadic curatorial project known as the Museum of Joyous and Valiant Offerings, dedicated to site specific work by emerging artists who also share intimate relationships with the city of Los Angeles.
Vanessa Prager (USA, b. 1984) is a self-taught artist born and raised in Los Angeles. Prager received solo shows, Portraits (2023) and Static (2021), with Diane Rosenstein Gallery, Los Angeles. Other solo presentations include those at Kristin Hjellegjerde, Berlin and London; The Hole, New York; Richard Heller, Santa Monica; and Jenkins Johnson Gallery, San Francisco. Her work was included in group exhibitions at The Hole, Los Angeles and NYC; L.A. Louver, Venice, CA, The Street and The Shop, curated by Michael Slenske, Los Angeles; and Eric Firestone Gallery, East Hampton, NY; among others.
