Pam Posey: Field Trip: Online Exhibition

Diane Rosenstein Gallery is pleased to announce a solo exhibition with Los Angeles-based artist, Pam Posey. Expanding on Posey’s debut presentation with our Highland Avenue gallery last spring, these fifteen landscape paintings offer an intimate glimpse into the artist's spacious realm.

"...in the studio, I remember these places and work as if I am walking in the landscape, reliving its conditions as I paint. This is when painting in all of its sensuous pleasure and recalcitrance takes over.”

Pam Posey (USA, b. 1950) examines the natural world and how it can be represented through painting and drawing. Working from her studio in West Los Angeles, Posey reimagines landscapes by mapping the experience of being in nature while she paints.

A contributing artist to the Institute of Cultural Inquiry’s AIDS Chronicles, her work is on currently on view in $3 Bill: Evidence of Queer Lives, Getty Research Institute at the J.Paul Getty Museum, Los Angeles. Her paintings and drawings have been included in exhibitions in Southern California at Diane Rosenstein Gallery, Los Angeles; Praz-Delavallade, Los Angeles; Craig Krull Gallery, Santa Monica; the Sturt Haaga Gallery at Descanso Gardens, Flintridge/La Canada; Ben Maltz Gallery at Otis College of Art and Design, Los Angeles; Angels Gate Cultural Centers; and others.  She was an artist-in-residence with the Morris Graves Foundation; and the NES Artist Residency in Skagaströnd, Iceland (2012-2018).  Pam Posey lives and works in Los Angeles.
