We are proud to announce that the Rosa and Carlos de la Cruz Collection in Miami has acquired a suite of photographs and sculpture by Polish-American artist Ilona Szwarc from her recent gallery exhibition Virgin Soap. This installation includes six photographs and a mixed media sculpture and will be included in There Is Always One Direction, the Collection's major annual exhibition, opening on Tuesday, November 30th, during Art Basel Miami 2021.
There Is Always One Direction brings together paintings, sculptures, and site-specific installations from Rosa and Carlos de la Cruz's private collection. The title of this year’s exhibition is taken from Gabriel Orozco’s sculpture Four Bicycles (There Is Always One Direction), 1994, currently exhibited on the third floor. Their annual exhibitions represent the collection's history and revisit works within the context of the moment.
Dates (during ABMB): Tuesday, Nov. 30th - Saturday, Dec. 4th
Hours: 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Address: 23 NE 41 Street, MIAMI, FL 33137
